Music's Broken Wings
By William P. Heitman

Fifty years of aviation accidents
in the music industry.

This is a highly enlightening, educational and interesting read.  Examining aviation accidents involving members of the music industry from 1935 to 1985. Covering some of the most well known to the most obscure of these events.

The author closely examines each accident and explains the many technical factors that come into play, when piloting an aircraft as well as the Human factors, that in some incidents may have contributed. to the accidents. This is a very in-depth and thorough examination, and includes  documented reports of all investigations conducted.

The forward  is written by J.P. Richardson Jr. (Jay), Son of the late Jiles Richardson also known as "The Big Bopper", who died before his birth in the Buddy Holly plane crash on February 3, 1959.

The author William P. Heitman, is an accomplished aviator and has logged nearly 5,000 total hours in the air and over 1,600 hours logged as a flight instructor.  He has flown over 57 types of airplanes.
